Add Or Remove Titles In Chart. To make a chart easier to understand you can add titles such as a chart titles and axis titles to any type of chart in Excel Outlook PowerPoint or Word. Excel will show a list of chart elements you might find handy while editing graphs.
I simply uncheck the Chart Title Element option from the fly-out menu. This option will display title at top of chart area and resize chart. Then it adds a text box with Chat Title in the Chart.

Click the TitlesFootnotes tab. On the Design tab click Add Chart Element Chart Title None. Add a chart title In the chart choose the Chart Title box and enter in a title. Click the TitlesFootnotes tab.
